Eduard Strauss

漂亮的爱迪!



爱德华·施特劳斯 (Eduard Strauß，1835年3月15日－1916年12月28日)，奥地利作曲家，也是老约翰·施特劳斯的幼子，家中暱稱為艾迪(Edi)。他和兩位哥哥小约翰·施特劳斯和约瑟夫·施特劳斯共同努力，成就了維也納的施特劳斯音樂王朝。而他整個家族支配了19世紀維也納的輕音樂時代，為歷任奧地利皇帝和帝國的公卿貴族創作大量圓舞曲和波爾卡。

父亲去世时他才14 岁，正在读文科中学，准备考“东方学院”，他想从事领事工作。他也十分喜爱音乐，他观看了燕妮·林德的客串演出之后，就成了歌剧院热情的常客，并开始学习作曲，学奏小提琴和竖琴。1855 年2 月约翰忧让他20 岁的弟弟首次登台亮相：爱德华在苏菲游泳馆大厅演出的需由二台竖琴伴奏的圆舞曲《嘲讽》中担任首席竖琴手。作为指挥他是1859 年2 月5 日首次在苏菲大厅同观众见面的。在这次“无尽头的一天”大型舞会中，爱德华引起了轰动。他长得眉清目秀，喜穿漂亮的黄色大衣，手戴白色手套，留着山羊胡须，酷似拿破仑三世，不久维也纳人就称他为“漂亮的爱迪①”了。作为作曲家他远不如两位天才的哥哥。
